Hello Future Brides and Grooms presently booked with me or not. Today I am sharing with you Brenna and Max's beautiful spring wedding. Well possibly the only spring wedding of 2020. Brenna & Max's Wedding was on March 14th. We (the couple, venue and vendors) all held our breath to see if this was going to happen and we really did get lucky. The whole State of Connecticut shut down non-essential businesses on Monday March 16th. Pretty much cancelling all weddings to date. So what was it like inside this wedding when the world outside was falling apart. It was perfectly beautiful filled with love and happiness. People were as careful as they could be but at the same time they really just enjoyed them selves. As they should have, we were not as informed of what the future was to hold at this point. We still are not. As a wedding photographer or as any other wedding vendor will tell you, the show must go on. As long as my clients are going forward I am going forward. There are few days in ones life that are as important. So I did my job and was happy to do it, I was professional and followed the rules. Social Distance, not touching, washing my hands and not touching my face.
Future Brides and Grooms, hold on tight. I am really looking forward to your weddings. Your day will be just as beautiful. I know these are uncertain times but weddings and family gatherings are what help us heal. There will be tears of sadness from losses and so many more tears of joy. I look forward to the day I can hug my clients again. I look forward to seeing my brides faces the first time they see themselves in their wedding dress, when you see each other for the first time, the ceremony where laughs and tears are shed and the first dance when the first moment you are introduced as Mr. & Mrs. We have so much to look forward too. Thank you again for all who supported me and made sure I went with you to your new date. It truly means so much to me. Melissa and Justin were married last February. A beautiful classic New England Wedding by the Shore at The Madison Beach Hotel. My first studio, I rented a space in a hair salon. It was perfect for doing boudoir shoots. My first shoot, was a bride to be. She brang her mom. Imagine my surprise to that. Then I practiced with my sister and friends. I had to see if this was something I was comfortable doing. As a kid, I played with my barbies. Dressing them up was my favorite thing to do. So as an adult dressing women up and posing them was natural. I loved it. I loved making women feeling beautiful and great about themselves. I mean we are all so hard on ourselves all the time but for one hour, I got to make these women feel amazing and create something they could look at forever. Feel great about themselves.
Back to the Knot. I became very popular on the The Knot NYC Boards. So naturely I would have to go to NY to do shoots. My second home became the the Ritz Carlton in White Plains, NY. It was the perfect spot. High end, lux and glam. The ultimate pampering for the Bride to Be. Fast forward I am still in touch with all my beautiful NY Knot Brides. I have photographed some of them over the years. From Trash the Dress to their Families. Even a second marriage. I love these ladies so much!
Here we are today so many years later. I am still doing Boudoir shoots but I decided just do them for my clients. Weddings had taken over for a long time and that was first priority. Along with the fact that my kids needed more of my time. I did feel that boudoir shoots had to take a back seat. But I still loved doing them. Good news!! I am ready do get back on this horse and do them again for everyone.

Katie and Ethan's Beautiful Allen Hill Farm Wedding. Like all wedding days we hope for the best weather. 2019 had plenty of great days and then again it had plenty of rainy days. This day worked out pretty perfectly to fit right in with Katie and Ethan's wedding style. We agreed that the skies were in their favor. We were able to create ethereal moments with the dark and moody skies. With that said there are all different styles of editing and lighting. Some clients of mine enjoy a more light and airy feel while others like a classic look. I am very versatile and pretty eclectic when it comes to styles but I stay true to the feel of your wedding. A beautiful August Wedding at The Pavilion at Crystal Lake. If I am being honest this is my favorite outdoor ceremony site in Connecticut. It is lined by the most beautiful tall pine trees that canopy the site. It's the next best thing to being in the middle of the forest. Making it a serene and calm setting for your ceremony.

April showers brings May flowers, not this year. May rained and rained. I want it to rain on my wedding day, said no bride ever. Heather was cool as a cucumber though and her ease and calmness set the day. So easy going and everything was just perfect. Heather and Jon's Wedding was such a fun time, the rain did not ruin it. They have some great photos and they still enjoyed their wedding just as much as if it were a sunshiny day.

Kim and Rob's Wedding, the perfect intimate fall wedding in Connecticut. Reminded me so much of being out west in California. A nice evening on the patio looking out at the mountain, light by strings lights and candle light. Such a romantic feel. A beautiful day with a beautiful couple at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills. The Barns is a favorite wedding venue in Connecticut. Brides and Grooms come from all over the East Coast to have their weddings there. It is truly one of the most magical places. I have photographed many weddings there this year and each wedding was uniquely different. Every time I walk in, it is totally transformed to reflect the couples style. Sara and Ryan's style was definitely rustic chic. I meet Sara a while back, she is a hair and makeup artist in the Wedding Industry. Tessa and Casey's Beauty and the Beast Wedding. This beautiful couple was referred to me by my friends over at After Hours DJ's, their lovely wedding was at The Mansion at Bald Hill in Woodstock, CT. It was my first time there and I loved it. It is a beautiful venue with a pretty garden and ceremony site. Casey proposed to Tessa at Disney, as she is a huge Disney Fan. My favorite part of the day was her sisters toast. She changed the lyrics to Beauty and the Beast's Be Our Guest to things about Tessa & Casey. It was adorable! Beautiful Bride Nicole and her handsome husband Wesley planned a romantic wedding at The Riverhouse in Haddam, CT in late October. Nicole's dress was a two piece she bought at Bliss Bridal, it was so nice that she was able to pull a layer off and completely change her style for her reception. Nicole is also a hairdresser so she was able to change her hair too. Nicole and Wes looked like they stepped right out of a Disney Fairytale. Hallie and Rob had a beautiful wedding in September, in New England we never know what the weather will be like and on their wedding day it was 90 degrees. We had such a late summer this year and we are paying for it now. Anyway their wedding was at Allen Hill Farm in Brooklyn, CT. The property has stunning views and and a beautiful barn.
